Go west haven't you been told!!!!

We had a fabulous time the whole month of June. It was very busy the whole time we were gone. We were lucky enough to visit with all the cousins. We spent two days with Brayden and Braxton on the way to Utah, we were even lucky enough to have them come to Utah before we left they are such cute fun kids. Brayden even gave everyone including me a hug and kiss, and if you know him you know that can be hard to come by if your not his mom or dad.

The kids had a lot of fun eating famous Aggie ice cream and Aggie cheese, shopping for Aggie gear, attending Aggie camps,going to Bear Lake following the lake was the great shake, and playing with all our great friends in Cache Valley. They all loved being able to drive past the temple every day, and would always be surprised at all the Mormon churches (I didn't think we had been gone that long). They even rode the Front Runner, or in Houston's words "the big fast train in Houston's mountains".


Jared and his family were not in Nebraska when we came through or left, but due to unfortunate circumstances for them we were able to spend a bit of time with them in Logan. All the kids had a lot of fun at the Logan Condo you can probably ask the neighbors about that if they haven't moved away after we were all their. Grandpa Teryl and Grandma Diane will be lucky if they have any neighbors left at the condo.

We ended up staying a day longer in Utah than we planned so we could see Brian and Amber(we would have missed them only by a day and the kids were dying to see them and their new puppy Macee). We were also able to go to the Bingham family reunion and see Grandpa one more time before we left (he was excited to have such a great turn out it is one of his highlights of the year). It was awesome because we were able to have a quick visit with Tyler and Lauren too, which was so wonderful because we had not have seen them if we hadn't made it to the reunion.

The kids even traveled to Park City to see baby Dani too. So they were able to visit all the cousins out west.

We left Utah and headed to Mount Rushmore. We pointed out Martin's Cove and stopped at Independence Rock on the way. At Mount Rushmore there was an author signing books,and I explained to Houston as we waited for Caylor to get his book signed that this man helped carve the face into the mountain so as soon as Houston got a chance he asked him "Can you put my face in the mountain too"? He really thinks Houston's face belongs there too. Mount Rushmore was a lot of fun and there is so much to do in the Black Hills area so we will definitely plan another trip there, and hopefully spend a few days there. If Clay gets his way we will be moving to Spearfish, SD. Although it is such a beautiful place in the summer I am not sure a Spearfish winter is for me (winter is just not my thing).

I have to say how much I love, love, love, AAA it is so worth its money. We used it in December when we traveled to Utah and had a flat tire on a cold Iowa night. We also used it again when we woke up in South Dakota with a dead battery. It was great. However, it put a delay on our return to Kentucky. With the dead battery, and Brodie having the stomach flu we left late, and made frequent stops to empty our barf bucket, needless to say we did not make it back to Kentucky on Tuesday night like we had planned.
