We finally made it to the Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. I am shocked that it took us so long to get there, but we now can mark it off our list of places to visit. I am sure Clay would have loved to spend the entire day there, but with Houston that just is not possible. We all enjoyed our visit to the Hall of Fame.

From#1 - #49
So as always another study about great places to live, and like always Utah ranks at the top being the happiest state in the union to live. Wouldn't you know we moved to the state at the bottom of the rankings #49…ouch! Like most studies Utah is always in the top five on great places to live, and Kentucky always has plenty of room to grow, usually in the bottom five lucky for us never the bottom. I must say I have seen Kentucky ranked number 1 but, that was for having the highest percentage of smokers. After all these studies, I am wondering if anyone has any idea why we are still here? I must say that Kentucky, is a pretty place, and has lots of history, it is a great place to visit (hint, hint). I have enjoyed living here, but hope that I will be able to return to the west one day. For now we will keep KY as our address, and hope to return home to the west one day before the darling children are grown.

Interesting Fact
On April 13, 1970 Apollo 13 made its famous distress call to Houston, "Houston we have a problem." We weren't really aware of the exact date, but last night at the library we came across the date. We found this funny because we have our own little Houston. People frequently say to him, "Houston we have a problem." Our Houston finds it very amusing, that all kinds of people say this to him. However, we now think it is even funnier because we now know his birthday is the day the call was made. We always felt his name fit him perfect.

What fluffy dog?
We used to own a fluffy puppy, but after today she is just a skinny scrawny puppy. The kids still lover her though. Houston thought it was funny when we picked her up because she looked so different. Here are some pictures from last week and today.

I decided to post again!!!
It feels like not much has happened. However, Eden is now going to her Sunbeam Class without tears which is huge. Three weeks ago Clay promised her if she went to her class without crying, and sat with her class during opening exercise and sharing time he would buy her a new dress. So she went to her class (although she did sit on Mom's lap during opening excercises), Dad is such a sucker he took her shopping the next day for a new dress. After shopping with Dad she came home with two adorable dresses. The next Sunday she was reminded about her two pretty dresses, and told she needed to go to her class, which she did with little hesitation, when we came home from church Mom was changing Eden out of her church dress into a play dress, and Eden announced proudly, "I went to my class without crying so Dad has to buy me another dress!!!"
Then this Sunday she reminded me that "I am going to go to my class without crying and Dad has to buy me a new dress." Although she has not gone shopping for the new dress (she thinks she has earned) she is very confident Dad is going to be taking her shopping again soon for a few more new dresses. She does enjoy her class she just doesn't want to leave Mom.

Ice, Ice, baby!
So last night and today there was an ice storm that hit our area. So of course school was cancelled yet again. I don't think the kids will be going to school this week.
When we went outside this morning it sounded like fire crackers, as the tree branches were cracking. The kids wanted to go out and play in the snow, but they quickly found out that there was a layer of ice ontop of the snow. They managed to still have fun. Needless to say the kids have enjoyed lots of hot chocolate, and cinnamon rolls this week.

Will there be school this week?
And it happened again today. No school today, not a surprise. We did get about two or three inches of snow. However, it rained today so there is a thick layer of ice on top of the snow. I am thinking no school for the kids tomorrow. I am wondering if they will even go to school this week. I really can't wait for warmer weather.

And It happened again!
The ground was dusted with snow during the night so school was cancelled yet again. They expect even more snow tonight so I guess I better have a fun activity for the kids tomorrow, anyone have any great ideas (there probably won't be enough to go play in the snow). Although the older two think they should just be able to play video games all day. One of the great perks to Kentucky if you are a kid. You can plan on having school cancelled at least five days during the school year.

What!!!
School was cancelled today. No, there was not snow, there is not ice, but it is freaking cold here nothing like Minnesota, Wisconsin, or that region, but it was below zero, which is unusual. Caylor was very excited to finally have a no school day this week, he woke up very disappointed a few days this week because he thought for sure school was going to be cancelled on Wednesday and Thursday. He was so excited to hear the news that school was already cancelled for Friday when he got off the bus on Thursday. This is the fourth day of school that they have missed this year due to weather. I guess I don't get the clean house I was planning on having today, but I do get four beautiful smiling faces throughout the day.

I do like RED!
First, I am just going to remind you, at our home we are all die hard USU Aggie fans we bleed blue (just like the Aggies we stay true to our blue, unlike other schools that trade to be trendy). We always cheer for the Aggies no matter what, which has not changed. Even though Aggie football the past several years has not been too exciting we still cheer for our aggies, we still have hope and never give up on our Aggies (Coach A is going to bring the A game back to the Aggies). Aggie basketball is always exciting and we always cheer for our school.
That being said I just wanted to show everyone, what I wore to church on Sunday being from the state of Utah I have to support home (with the exception of one private school from Utah). So I wore a Utes shirt with pride (I have enjoyed supporting the Utes except when they killed our aggies). The Utes humbly went after perfection (unlike that untrue to their blue team from the south that announced to everyone their quest for perfection, oh and they failed). The Utes had a goal, they did not declare their quest for perfection, but humbly achieved it. We have loved supporting the Utes, and I couldn't help, but wear my shirt to church to let those, who like that worldly school south of the U of U, so they could be a part of the perfection. Brodie did, however let me know that he thought my t-shirt was inappropriate for church, but I really thought it couldn't be more appropriate. I did have a few people roll their eyes at me, but I found that amusing. All that being said here is a picture of me on my way to church.
